About Me:
My name is Gala Fernández, I am currently seventeen years old and was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil but have been living in Bogotá, Colombia the majority of my life; since my mom is Colombian. My dad is Spanish so I have always been living and raised between various cultures. I have also lived in England and came three years ago to Ecuador and absolutely love to explore all of the amazing places Ecuador has to offer. Ever since I heard about the Lagartococha project at school, I've wanted to be a part of it since I find its goal amazing and the work done to achieve it is absolutely essential to help different communities in the country. This project is a wonderful opportunity to learn about different cultures and have a long life experience while helping the Secoyas by providing them essential things everyone should have access to and living with them side by side to create amazing memories along with them.
Having grown up in different and very diverse countries, has made me become very interested in travelling and learning more about each culture and country; exploring the different surroundings each city has to offer. Living in Ecuador has enabled me to experience amazing trips through the country's Amazon forest, Andes region and Galapagos islands, which I loved and has helped me to open my eyes into this amazing biological world. Which is why I'm super excited about visiting these amazing new places and communities. I am currently part of the fourth generation of the Lagartococha project at the British school and super thrilled to continue working with the team.
