Anabella roman
My name is Anabella Roman Arias and I was born in Quito, Ecuador on December 11, 2000. I am the oldest daughter of two. I have a younger brother called, Luis. When I was two years old, in the year 2003, my parents, Luis and Maria del Carmen, my brother and I, moved to Dallas, Texas. We moved there so my dad could complete his masters degree. We came back to Quito when I was 5 years old and we lived with my grandparents for about two years, until 2008 when we bought our house and lived here ever since. The same year we came back from Texas my parents searched for schools that I could attend to and I was fortunate that my parents found Colegio Menor. I am now a senior at Menor and I couldn't be more grateful for all the wonderful moments there.
I have always enjoyed spending time with my family. Luckily, both parts of my family live in Ecuador which allows me to see them all the time. Unfortunately, I have one close uncle that lives in Houston, Texas so I can't see him that often. However, I do see him once every year, since we are always traveling to visit him. Traveling is also something I love to do. I have visited many places, but there are so many more to go to, which is something I am excited about. Two places I would absolutely love to visit is Italy and Africa. My two hobbies are playing volleyball and art. I have been playing volleyball since 7th grade and every year I love it more. On the other hand, I have been drawing and painting as long as I can remember, and I something that I always loved to do.

Another thing I have always love to do is help people. Beyond Lagartococha has given me the opportunity to get out of my confort zone, help people in need and grow as a person. When I heard that the members of Beyond Lagartococha were looking for a Second Generation, I knew I wanted to be part of it. Not only to help the people from Lagartococha, but also to learn from them and their life experiences. I couldn't be more grateful for all the memories and experiences being part of this group has brought me. I have visited Mañoco and Paenkenape one time and seeing the smiles on the kids faces, filled my heart with joy. Spending a few minuted with the Secoyas helped me realize how much help they have received from Beyond Lagartococha and the support we will continue to provide to them. I can't wait to visit them many more times.
